Great opportunity working with an Iconic business which offers fresh produce, retail, hospitality and tourism all on the one site. They have a great team environment and are seeking an experienced Team Leader for their night shift operation. This is a key role in assisting the Night Shift Supervisor and Operations Manager of the floor operations of it’s team.

This role commences in a casual capacity with an opportunity to move a permanent role after a qualifying period.

Summary of the Position

  • Responsible for the management of Company’s floor operations through the planning, organising and supervision of team members to ensure the smooth running of the ensuing nightly activities.
  • Provide high level of support and lead day-to-day management of team in alignment with Night and Day shifts.
  • Work collaboratively with the various teams to implement continuous improvement strategies, increase productivity and efficiency.

    You will need:

    • At least 2 years experience in a similar role – as a team leader with uninterupted work history
    • A background in warehousing or stock control
    • Team orientated with good Oral and written communication skills, dispute resolution skills and data entry / computer literacy
    • Current forklift license
    • Knowledge of seafood species, quality, and high-risk species (desirable)
    • Supervisory skills, including good customer service
    • Some mechanical knowledge e.g. forklifts and equipment
    • Knowledge of HACCP and WHS – working with fresh produce (meat, chicken or seafood)
    • Australian working rights
    • Capable of working night shift Sunday – Thursday uninterrupted 9pm – 5am
    • Excellent organisational and written & communication skills
